It's been a very long time since I wrote anything akin to a blog entry which wasn't just me discussing a current issue or important topic, and considering my last post here was January 2013, it's difficult to know what this first post should be about. There's not much point in doing a big "wow this is my life!" update given my last posts were extremely mundane and anyone who followed me on here is long gone.
I have however redacted my original first post from 2011 as of a few days ago, which contained some pretty significant details about my life which changed many years ago.
Unsurprisingly, I'm back here due to the great uproar happening over on Tumblr. Whilst I don't draw any 18+ content, it's still a great upheaval and going to affect many artists and writers who use the platform. The biggest issue for me is Tumblr now mentioning in their ToS that custom themes will soon be retired in favour of only themes from their "Theme Garden", which happens to bugger up my portfolio, sketch blog, and planned webcomic which were all hosted on tumblr using custom domains.
I'm unsure what will become of my sketchblog; even though it's perfectly okay in theory to keep it on tumblr with a generic Theme Garden theme, there aren't many which I feel fit the style of my art - which I'm super... anal about, I guess? I spent a very long time tweaking it to be perfect (the same with the other aforementioned sites). I figure it's just a combination of my autism and vague sense of perfectionism in how I present my artwork but even knowing it's probably that doesn't make me any less upset it's all about to change. It's not a big deal!! Get over it, me!!
Anyway, I'm not sure what I'll be doing with my dreamwidth. I began storyboarding (essentially) the first chapter of my comic again today whilst also catching up on some anime I meant to watch. I'm also vaguely shiny hunting in Pokémon: Let's GO! Eevee, though uh, as you can guess, I've not really committed to what I want. I'm just sort of running around Cerulean Cave with a chain of over 500 Weedle still active...
I'd really like a Rhydon, a Snorlax, or another Chansey (can never have too many shinies of your second favourite Pokémon!)
The most likely use for my dreamswidth will just be me posting silly opinions, art I've done, stuff like that. Either way, hopefully I'll actually stick to it this time... OTL
